I feel inlove with this island, one of the most beautiful island that I’ve been to. The atmosphere was great and the services of W retreat was excellent, really worth your money. I had an amazing experience!

We went to this resort to celebrate my birthday, we stayed here for almost two weeks. The resort was amazing, excellent services and we loved the rooms. I really recommend this resort!

I was on W Retreat & Spa Maldives twice, this year and last year. This hotel is for people who likes luxury and who doesn’t mind spending lots of money. The price for a lunch or dinner will costs you around 70-100 dollars per person plus taxes. But they had an excellent service, good gym, free Internet access, free ice cream and soft drinks.

I stayed on Beach Oasis and I would really recommend this type of accommodation. All Beach Oasis has direct access to the beach, private areas with pool and very lovely second floor with sofa and excellent ocean view.

W Retreat is absolutely a paradise! Great staff, great food, everything was excellent!

  6. Bob says:

We went to W Retreat a year ago, I can say that the place was amazing! The service and the location was heaven on earth. I have been to a lot of other beautiful spots but nothing compares to this resort. Now, the challenge is to find a place that is as beautiful as W Retreat…

  7. Liz says:

Excellent hotel, a small beautiful island with a very nice beach. We stayed at a beach oasis which was a perfect choice for us since it has a lovely terrace with a view on the ocean. The beach is just few metres away from your deck pool. The room was very clean with complete amenities and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The only problem is that there are too many mosquitos.

  8. Steph says:

I came here for my honeymoon and I was amazed with the place. My room was simply breathtaking, the service and food was great. Don’t forget to go on fishing trip, it’s really worth the money!

W Retreat was the best place in the world!

  9. Zen says:

I’ve been a lurker of this website reading some reviews about the hotels in the Maldives.

Our trip in Maldives was a dream come true! We choose W Retreat because of the good reviews on the internet. The staff were very friendly and they will try their best to make you happy. The best food I ever had, everything I tasted was really good. I don’t like salads, but their ceasar salad with grilled chicken was to die for.

I recommend staying in a water villa(ocean oasis) with a view of the lagoon and the swimming pool overlooking the lagoon.

  10. Joe says:

I loved this hotel a lot! When I arrived they welcomed us in a very nice way. They gives us a choice to pick either the ocean oasis or beach oasis. The only thing that I had a problem is the food, it is so expensive!

  11. Allen says:

We just arrived from our honeymoon in Maldives and we stayed in W Retreat resort. Our friends told us that we should choose this resort.

We stayed in Beach and Ocean Oasis and they are both fantastic. If we will go there again, we would definitely choose Ocean Oasis because the view and the location is hard to beat.

The music on the island is really not loud, it is at a normal level and you can still hear the sound of the ocean. The food is excellent, and I would suggest eating at both Fire and Fish. The staff are so helpful and will offer any suggestions that you might need as well.

The house reef is amazing, make sure you snorkel or dive while you are there.

  12. Joshua says:

We just got back from our one week vacation in Maldives. We loved our experience in Maldives! The house reef was amazing, the best I have ever seen (we have been to Bora Bora, Cook Islands , Caribbean islands and etc…). The food was good, and I loved the complimentary ice cream.

We choose the Ocean Oasis, it’s huge and I love sitting on the wooden patio.

  13. Giselle says:

W Retreat has a picturesque view, the over water villas are fantastic. The food was great and the staff were very friendly. Breakfast is the best there, they will prepare you any hot food you like. There are lots of activities, a gym and of course a romantic spots to unwind.

  14. Jovy says:

We just returned from a one week vacation at the W Retreat in Maldives. I am a bit of a perfectionist so I always find something that is not quite right, however everything about this hotel was fantastic. The rooms are exactly like the pictures in the brochures.

Excellent service, all the staff were very friendly and happy. Some staff members made our stay very enjoyable. There are plenty of activities you can do like water aerobics and yoga on the beach at sunset. If you are reading this review and still wondering whether or not to book it, just do it! Its not a cheap holiday but it’s worth every penny.

  15. Honey says:

This is a most go place before you die, a paradise on earth. We stayed on this island for 2 weeks in 2007 and this was the most beautiful island I have been to. The staff are great, the rooms are nice and clean. My husband and I would snorkel for up to 4 hours at a time as there was so much to see.

  16. Ian says:

The W Maldives is a paradise found! We spent 6 days there and wished we had another 6 days to spent and watch the beautiful sunsets. I would recommend getting a beach oasis room, as this lets you have two stories of sumptouos luxury. The attention to detail of this resort was great, with a very happy staff. The food was great. The Dive center is world class but it is not cheap, the price point is comparable to others. I would definitely go back to W again.
